Minor injury crash

The Barren County Sheriff’s Department responded to a single-vehicle accident approximately six miles south of Glasgow on Roseville Road at about 7 a.m. Friday. Upon arrival Deputy Runyon learned 23-year-old Miranda Turner of Tompkinsville, was traveling north on Roseville Road in her 1994 Toyota 4-Runner when due to the wet road, she lost control, ran off the roadway, overturned, and struck a utility pole with the SUV coming to a final rest on all four wheels. Farmers RECC was on the scene for several hours replacing the utility pole that snapped in two. Turner was taken from the scene by the Barren/Metcalfe EMS to T.J. Samson Community Hospital where she was treated for injuries and released. Deputy Steve Runyon investigated and was assisted at the scene by the Temple Hill Volunteer Fire Department along with the Barren/Metcalfe EMS.
