Assistant attorneys general, defense attorneys and defendants in the Eastern Livestock case gathered in Metcalfe Circuit Court Tuesday morning for what was supposed to be the case's last pre-trial conference. Instead of setting a trial date, the assistant attorneys general said they "anticipate a resolution," and another court appearance was scheduled for March 27, at which time they will announce the settlement or set a trial date.

There have been several crashes at the intersection of Veterans Outer Loop and Franks Mill Road since the loop opened more than a year ago.
