Teachers get money for school supplies

From left are Hiseville Elementary School teachers, Stephanie Clemmons, Tammy Jones, Leigh Anne Roden, Kenny Carey, Brandie Groce, Paula Sponhouse, Debbie Bauer, Lisa Adwell and Hope Mires, along with Jessica Anderson, assistant manager, and Andy Watts, shift manager of the Glasgow Walmart. Not present was teacher Chris Lile. The local business has replaced the former Teacher of the Year award with a new Teachers Reward Program this year. Local store associates voted for schools in Barren and surrounding counties and Hiseville was the winner with the most votes. Principal Steven Murphy drew the names of the 10 teachers at random who were each given a $100 gift card to be used for classroom supplies.
