The book’s the thing

From left, playwrights Liz Bussey Fentress, Sallie Bingham and Nancy Gall-Clayton chat while they sign copies of “World Premieres from Horse Cave Theatre,” a collection of 14 plays by Kentucky writers published by Motes Books. Several of the authors gathered at the home of Sydney and Sue Bunnell on Happy Valley Road, Cave City, on Sunday afternoon, to meet with area residents and autograph copies of the book. Fentress, along with former HCT artistic director Warren Hammack and local playwright Larry Pike, will also be at the Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Public Library on South Green Street Monday at 7 p.m. to sign copies of the book and meet with fans. Partial proceeds for each $20 purchase will go to the Kentucky Voices Fund for the development of new plays by and about Kentuckians.
