‘Coats for our Community’

Glasgow officials and Goodwill Industries are partnering as part of Gov. Steve Beshear and wife Jane’s state coat drive. Beginning Monday, Nov. 16, and running until Nov. 27, new and slightly used winter coats may be dropped off at several locations around the city. The coats will then be collected and taken to the Glasgow Goodwill store on L. Rogers Wells Boulevard where they will be on sale for $5 or less. Proceeds will help fund critical Goodwill programs. Front row from left are: Capt. Joey Crews, Glasgow Police Department; Connie Pickett; Lennea Wooten, Goodwill donated goods manager; Glasgow Mayor Darrell Pickett; and Battalion Chief Tony Atwood, Glasgow Fire Department. Back row are: Robert Johnson, Linda Carter, Janet Reece, Sherry Penrod, Derek Barlow and Brian Taylor, with Goodwill Industries.
