Sheriff's Office wants help locating vehicle

An attempted burglary earlier this week on Scottsville Road has resulted in the Barren County Sheriff’s Office issuing a vehicle alert.

The sheriff needs the public’s help in locating a sport utility vehicle that was involved in the unsuccessful break-in, according to BCSO Public Relations Officer Trevor Phillips.

Two male subjects in a four-door red or burgundy Ford Explorer with a Kentucky license plate, first three letters 786 or 780, kicked a door in on a residence. After thieves were alarmed that someone was in the residence, they fled the scene. However, the homeowner was able to get the above description.

Anyone with information on the vehicle or persons involved is asked to contact the Barren County Sheriff’s Office at 651-2771 or the Sheriff’s Anonymous Tip-Line at 646-8771.
