One injured in crash

A two vehicle wreck injured at least one woman Saturday, shortly after 1 a.m. on Scottsville Road, according to the Barren County Sheriff’s Department. Heather M. Fields, 18, of Glasgow, was traveling north on Scottsville Road when she lost control of her 2007 Honda Civic, causing it to spin out of control, enter the southbound lane and collide with a 2005 Chevy Colorado, driven by Allen D. Whittemore, 44, of Indiana. Fields was transported by Barren-Metcalfe EMS to T.J. Samson Community Hospital for treatment of injuries. Fields was treated and released. Whittemore refused treatment at the scene. Deputy Bobby McCown investigated and was assisted at the scene by the Haywood Volunteer Fire Department and Barren-Metcalfe EMS.
