Wrecks result in multiple injuries

The Barren County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle collision approximately 7.5 miles south of Glasgow on Woods Store-Etoile Road on Tuesday around 6:40 p.m. Upon arrival, Deputy Steve Clark learned that Tracey K. Bertram, 33, of Temple Hill was traveling west on Woods Store-Etoile Road when she crossed the center line in her 2003 GMC Envoy and struck a 2001 Saturn traveling east driven by April R. Biegel, 36, of Campbellsville, head on. The crash caused Biegel’s car to travel off the edge of the roadway and come to a rest. Bertram’s vehicle then ran off the roadway into a ditch striking a tree, before coming to a final rest, according to a BCSO report. Bertram and her three passengers Elizabeth, Rachel and Ethan Bertram, were all transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital by Barren-Metcalfe EMS, where they were all treated and released. Biegel and her passenger, Shannon Byrd, 30, of Glasgow, were not injured. All subjects involved were wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision.
