Reynolds named Cave City mayor

GLASGOW — Former Cave City councilman Bobby Reynolds has been appointed as Cave City's new mayor. The appointment was made Monday during a special-called city council meeting.

Reynolds served on the council for three terms from 1994 to 2005, which was when he resigned due to an illness.

“I always kind of thought I wanted to be mayor, but now we are going to try it and see what happens,” Reynolds said. “I will just do my very best. I don’t know what I’m really in for to be honest with you.”

Reynolds will serve as mayor until the next general election, which is in November of 2012. There will be an election at that time to fill the unexpired term of mayor.
