Hartland Equipment has announced that Neil Allen has been named store manager in Glasgow.
Allen will continue in his role as a member of the Hartland Equipment sales team. He is territory manager for western Barren County, Hart County and eastern Edmonson County.
“We are very excited for our customers to have a person like Neil head up our store in Glasgow, home to the Lawson family in so many ways,” said Sam Lawson, President/CEO, Hartland Equipment. “Neil has over 40 years of farm experience, brings a wealth of information and knowledge about John Deere equipment and has the perfect personality to work with our Hartland Glasgow team to meet all of our customers’ equipment needs.”

Allen lives on a farm in the Merry Oaks Community in western Barren County and raises beef cattle, hay and tobacco. He attended WKU and served four years with the Army Security Agency with three trips to Vietnam. He served on the Kentucky Farm Bureau Board of Directors for 10 years and Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance Company for eight years. He currently serves on the Barren County Farm Bureau Board, Glasgow-Barren County Planning Commission, Barren County Conservation District Board and also on the Kentucky Association of Conservation Districts board of directors. He is also chairman of the Barren County Extension Board and chairman of the Barren County Agricultural Development Council.
He is a member of the Merry Oaks Methodist Church and serves as Sunday School superintendent. He is married to Diane and they are the proud parents of Karen and Jimmy.
