Midmark Corporation, based out of Versailles, Ohio, has acquired Glasgow’s European Design Inc., which manufactures products for dental practices.
The acquisition was first announced on Monday, according to a Midmark press release. The company supplies high quality products for the medical, dental, veterinary and digital diagnostic markets.
Plans are for Midmark to continue manufacturing and marketing its own line while adding European Design to its complete offering of dental equipment, the press release stated. At this time, the Glasgow office, which has 50 employees, will remain in the local area.
European Design was founded over 18 years ago and received recognition when Wood & Wood Products magazine rated it as the 12th fastest growing company in the wood industry.
“This truly gives Midmark the best of both worlds to present to our customers; the unmatched durability with Midmark metal casework and the unrivaled beauty and warmth of European Design cabinetry,” said Dr. Anne Eiting Klamar, Midmark president and CEO, in a written statement. “This acquisition positions Midmark as the company in the dental market with the most complete offering of cabinets available to the dental professional.”
