Rigdon honored for 50 years of service

At the 2008 Kentucky Association of Conservation Districts’ annual meeting in Lexington, Charlotte Rigdon was recognized for 50 years of service to local landowners and the community. Rigdon has been the district administrative secretary for the Barren County Conservation District and has worked as a partner with the Natural Resource Conservation Service. She has been directly involved in the implementation of many projects in Barren County. Presenting the award at the KACDE luncheon was Mark Barrick, NRCS conservation technician. Also attending the presentation were her husband, Jesse Rigdon, chairman of the Conservation District Board; Glenn Barrick; and board members Floyd R. Jones, Randy London, Greg Ritter; and NRCS employee, Brian Boone.
