CFB hosts fundraiser for CMC, open house

GLASGOW — Citizens First Bank will celebrate its new location in Glasgow with a donation and fundraiser for Community Medical Care Inc.

The bank will present a $2,500 donation to Community Medical Care at the grand opening event June 25 at 10 a.m. at the 760 West Cherry Street location.

A fundraising reception in honor of the organization will be held that evening at the new bank.

“We are so honored to have been selected to participate in Citizens First’s grand opening festivities,” said Dr. Bharat Mody, chairman of Community Medical Care. “This provdes a wonderful opportunity for us to introduce our mission to a number of community members who may have a great impact on our ability to serve Barren County’s most needy seniors.”

The organization assists Barren County’s low-income seniors with prescription medication, prescription glasses and hearing aids. It also assists low-income, working, uninsured adults with primary health care, prescription medication, emergency dental, optometric and hospital care and specialist consultation.

“Citizens First has been a solid corporate citizen from the beginning and we are thrilled to know they continue to invest in the prosperity of our community,” said County Judge-Executive Davie Greer.

Open to the public, the ribbon-cutting celebration is hosted by Citizens First and the Glasgow-Barren County Chamber of Commerce.

“Citizens First chose to be involved with Community Medical Care Inc. because health care availability is such a vital issue in the communities where we do business,” said Jim Lee, Barren County Community President with Citizens First. “We truly believe in contributing to the communities where we live and work. Community Medical Care is really special because it helps people who are trying to help themselves, yet may need assistance to fullfil all their healthcare needs.”

Throughout the week of June 22, West Cherry Street customers will have an opportunity to win a $500 certificate of deposit. The bank will announce a winning entry on Friday, June 26.

Established in 1999, Citizens First Bank is a full-service, independent bank with 11 locations in Bowling Green, Franklin, Glasgow, Horse Cave and Munfordville.
