GLASGOW — A local insurance agent has been recognized for his outstanding performance.
Christopher Short with State Farm Insurance in Glasgow is the winner of the company’s Summit Award, which is a contest just for new agents and can only be won once.
To be eligible for the award, an agent must have more than 100 applications and writing product in all lines during the first month his or her office is open.
Short had 140 applications in his first 30 days, he said.
The new agent had a great deal of competition for the award. There are 1,400 new agents in the United States at any given time, he said.
