Comedian Lee Cruse to perform Saturday at Plaza

GLASGOW — When Lee Cruse isn’t working doing the morning and mid-day programs for NBC affiliate LEX18 in Lexington, he is on a stage somewhere making people laugh.

Cruse has been doing stand-up comedy for about 17 years, long before he got into television.

“I did radio and then I think comedy came along and television came in third,” he said.

He joked that he also had a gig as a neurologist for a while too, but after the third patient died he realized he needed to pursue another career path.

He decided to get into comedy after losing a bet.

“I had to do it,” he said.
