EDMONTON —
“Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr.” is returning to Barn Lot Theater, beginning March 14.
The musical features a cast of 36 and is being directed by Emily Coffey.
The theater presented the play several years ago. Coffey made the decision to bring it back to the Barn Lot stage.
“It’s my favorite Disney movie,” she said. “I like everything about it — the characters and the music.”
The production differs somewhat from the movie.
“There are some songs that aren’t in the Disney movie,” she said.
Such songs theater-goers will hear when seeing the production that are not included in the movie are: “One Step Closer,” “The World Above,” and “I want the Good Times Back.”
Starring in the play are: Sarah Madrigal as Ariel; Chase Weaver as Sebastian; Noah Chambers as King Triton; Auna Combs as Flounder; Julie Barlow as Scuttle; Jacoby Botts as Prince Eric; Tristan Phelps as Ursula; Kelly Jones as Flotsam; and Arieal Smith as Jetsam.

“Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr.” runs March 14-17 and March 21-24, with all performances beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 each for adults and $12 for students and senior citizens age 55 and older.
