HORSE CAVE —
A four commercial vehicle collision in Hart County on Saturday resulted in injuries.
Post 3 troopers responded to Interstate 65 in Hart County regarding a four commercial vehicle injury collision at 5:04 Saturday morning.
According to Trooper Jonathan McChesney, Donald Gordon, 44, of Cincinnati, Ohio, who was driving a 2006 International, was north bound on I-65 near the the rest area when he failed to see traffic stopped in front of him from a previous collision. Gordon’s vehicle struck the trailer of a 2011 International driven by Keith Copeland, 22, of Montpelier, Vt. Copeland’s vehicle struck the trailer of a 2006 International driven by Ronnie Brown, 61, of Nicholasville. Brown’s vehicle in turn struck the trailer of an unspecified vehicle driven by Kenneth Johnson,44, of Indianapolis,.
Gordon was taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital then transported to University of Louisville Hospital.
Copeland and Brown were both taken to Caverna Memorial Hospital in Horse Cave. Johnson was not injured.
The collision was worked by McChesney. He was assisted on scene by troopers Shea Foley and Justin Roundtree, Hart County Emergency Director Kerry McDaniel, KSP Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, Horse Cave Fire Department, Hart County EMS and Hart County Rescue Squad.
