GLASGOW —
A Summer Shade man was killed Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash on Veterans Outer Loop near Tractor Supply Co.
Ricky D. Ervin, 54, of Summer Shade, collided with another vehicle near the intersection and was pronounced dead at the scene. A unidentified female who was traveling with Ervin was transported from the scene by helicopter and taken to the University of Louisville Hospital, according to a Glasgow Police Department report.
Two individuals in the other vehicle involved in the crash were taken to T.J. Samson Community Hospital, according to the report. They were treated and released for their injuries.
The wreck remains under investigation, said Lt. Col. Kent Keen, spokesman for the department. There is still a significant amount of information that is not available including vehicle information.
The Barren County Sheriff’s Office, Barren County constables and the Glasgow Fire Department also assisted at the crash site.
This is the first known fatal crash within the city of Glasgow in 2010.
