3:43 AFTERNOON UPDATE: Man's condition improves

GLASGOW —

The condition of a Glasgow man injured in a wreck Sunday morning had improved to stable Wednesday, a hospital spokesperson said.

Christopher Thomason, 43, had been in critical condition at University of Louisville Hospital, where he was flown after the single-vehicle accident on the Louie B. Nunn/Cumberland Parkway. Thomason was thrown from a 2003 Chevrolet Tracker 4x4. Although Thomason was unresponsive when emergency personnel arrived on the scene and could not offer details on how the wreck occurred, he was believed to have been driving west when the vehicle left the roadway and traveled into the median before crossing back over and off the right side of the road, striking a rock wall and then traveling back onto the roadway, according to a Glasgow Police Department report.
