1:12 AFTERNOON UPDATE: Pair arrested on drug charges

GLASGOW —

A Glasgow man and woman were arrested Wednesday evening after local police officers found syringes, which they said were in plain view and within reach of a 2-year-old child, pipes, scales, rolling papers and drug residue inside their residence, according to a Glasgow Police Department report.

Christa Lorene Munoz, 21, and Talyn W. Wheeler, 20, were each charged with possession of a controlled substance, first degree, first offense, drug unspecified; possession of a controlled substance, second degree, drug unspecified; wanton endangerment, second degree; buying or possessing drug paraphernalia, and Munoz was also charged with tampering with physical evidence, according to the report.

They remained lodged in the Barren County Detention Center on Thursday in lieu of $1,500 cash bonds and are expected in court Friday, according to the jail website.
