Nemak finishes J.L. French purchase

GLASGOW — A Mexico-based automotive components supplier announced it has completed its acquisition of J.L. French Automotive Castings, Inc., which includes two local aluminum plants.

Tenedora Nemak S.A. de C. V., a subsidiary of ALFA S.A.B. de C.V., made public its plan to buy J.L. French on April 12. The company, which has facilities in 14 countries, had to be approved for the acquisition by trade officials in three of the countries it does business in before the sale could be complete. With the regulatory approvals finished, Nemak announced the completion of the $215 million sale on June 28.
