GLASGOW — A Glasgow woman is in fair condition after a crash at the intersection of West Main Street and U.S. 31-E Monday afternoon.
Lavonne Norris, 70, was making a left turn and was unable to avoid hitting the car driven by Donna Elmore, 64, also of Glasgow. Elmore was traveling through the intersection south on the bypass, according to a report by Glasgow Police Department officers. Both cars suffered severe damage and it took about half an hour to clear the roadway, according to the report.
Glasgow man arrested on drug charges
In the process of serving a domestic violence show cause order, Glasgow police found marijuana and drug paraphernalia Friday at a home in Glasgow.
Delanne E. Shelton, 46, was arrested after GPD sergeants found a homemade pipe made of aluminum foil with suspected marijuana inside. GPD found paraphernalia, marijuana stems, another pipe and aluminum foil with burn marks and suspected drug residue while searching the home.
Shelton was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia second offense and violation of a Kentucky protection/domestic violence order. He was released from the Barren County Correction Center Sunday on $1,500 bond.
