6:15 p.m. EVENING UPDATE: KSP: Glasgow man injured in Warren County when he stepped into path of tractor-trailer

GLASGOW — On Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 3:34 p.m., Kentucky State Police Post 3 responded to an injury collision on William Natcher Parkway at the 3-mile point.

According to Trooper First Class Tomie Walters, Robert M. Short, 25, of Glasgow, stepped in the path of Paul McCoy, 43, of Pleasant Grove, who was operating a 1994 Freightliner commercial vehicle.

McCoy attempted to avoid striking Mr. Short, but was unable to due to heavy traffic. It is unclear why Short stepped into the path of McCoy’s vehicle.

Short was transported to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.

The investigation is still ongoing and is being led by Trooper Walters. He was assisted on scene by the Warren County Sheriff’s Department and Medcom.

 

KSP: One injured in Hart County collision

BOWLING GREENOn Nov. 20 at approximately 10:06 p.m., Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green received a call for service in reference to a single-vehicle injury accident at the 3500 block of Boyds Knob Road in Hart County.

Through investigation, it was determined that Dalton Maulden, 17, of Magnolia, was eastbound on Boyds Knob Road when he met an oncoming vehicle partially in his lane of travel. In an attempt to avoid a collision with the oncoming vehicle, Maulden swerved toward the opposite lane. This action caused him to lose control of his vehicle and exit the roadway where he struck a tree.

He was transported to Caverna Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released. The investigation is being led by Trooper Jeremy Smith and he was assisted by Trooper Wesley Medley, Hardyville Volunteer Fire Department and Hart County Emergency Medical Service.
