Truck crash injures one

CAVE CITY —

A semi crash injured a Bowling Green man Tuesday afternoon on Ky. 90 near Cave City.

Michael W. Crabtree, 57, was driving a Walbert Trucking semi with no trailer when he said a car pulled in front of him and hit his brakes.

He swerved to the right to avoid the car and the truck slid into the stone embankment, according to Deputy Steve Runyon of the Barren County Sheriff's Department.

Crabtree was pinned in the vehicle, but walked away from the crash after members of the Glasgow Fire Department were able to free him through the front windshield.

He was taken to T.J. Samson Community Hospital by Barren-Metcalfe Emergency Medical Services after complaining of knee, hand and eye pain.

Runyon said Crabtree was sitting up and talking when he visited the hospital after the crash.
