Munfordville man arrested

GLASGOW — A Munfordville man was arrested on drug charges Saturday, according to a report from the Kentucky State Police.

Marcus A. Thompson, 23, was stopped by the KSP when he was observed driving carelessly. According to the report, Thompson appeared to be under the influence of drugs, so a search of the vehicle was conducted. Suspected prescription pills, marijuana and methamphetamine were found and Thompson was taken into custody.

Thompson is charged with inadequate silencer, failure to wear a seat belt, license to be in possession, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia first offense, first-degree possession of controlled substance first offense, driving under the influence second degree and a prescription controlled substance not in proper container.

He is being held at the Hart County Jail on $9,500 cash bond.
