2 injured in two wrecks

GLASGOW — Two people were injured in two separate crashes on Tuesday and Wednesday in Glasgow.

Judy E. Neal, of Knob Lick, was traveling on Myrtle Street on July 31, when she failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Myrtle and West Cherry Street, according to a Glasgow Police Department report.

Neal told police she attempted to stop but the braked did not stop her at the intersection.

Neal sustained injuries to “several areas of her body,” the report stated and she was transported by Barren-Metcalfe Emergency Medical Services to T.J. Samson Community Hospital .

A witness to the crash said he never saw Neal apply her brakes and she was not able to make the turn onto West Cherry, travelling straight into the ditch on the opposite side of West Cherry, according to the report.
