COLUMBIA —
An Adair County man was arrested Sunday and charged in connection with a shooting.
Jeremy Lee Luttrell, 22, of Columbia, was arrested around 10:33 a.m. Sunday about 8 miles east of Columbia on Athleta Trace Road in Adair County. He was charged with first-degree assault and lodged in the Adair County Jail, according to a state police press release.
Luttrell is accused of shooting Adam Haskiell, 20, also of Columbia, in the chest following an altercation at a residence on Keen Wilson Road, stated the press release.
State police received a call at 4:53 p.m. Saturday from the Adair County 911 Center in reference to a gunshot victim at Westlake Hospital in Columbia. Haskiell was airlifted to the University of Louisville Hospital where he was listed in stable condition, stated the press release.
Detective Russell Decker is heading up the state police's investigation.
