GLASGOW —
A one-vehicle crash left an Elizabethtown woman in stable condition on Saturday.
Angelina Brown, 21, was driving her Pontiac Grand Prix northbound in Interstate 65 at mile-marker 63 in Hart County when the vehicle came off the roadway on the left. Brown temporarily regained control of the car but overcorrected, causing the vehicle to hit the concrete barrier and overturn, according to a report by the Kentucky State Police.
Brown was transported by helicopter to the University of Louisville Hospital. Two juvenile passengers, Nina Brown and Ray Brown, were transported by Emergency Medical Service to Hardin Memorial Hospital. They are all in stable condition.
Glasgow streets to be closed
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists to be aware of street closures in Glasgow on Saturday, Sept. 4 from 5 a.m. until 10 p.m.
The closures will impact the streets adjacent to the square as well as a section of Main Street and South Green Street. Detour routes will be set up and signed for these closures, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
Motorists should anticipate increased pedestrian traffic during this time and drive accordingly.
Austin woman arrested
On Aug. 27, the Barren County Sheriff’s Office and the Barren-Edmonson County Drug Task Force arrested an Austin woman on drug charges.
Sheriff’s deputies and DTF detectives responded to a residence on Tracy School Road, acting on a tip called into Sheriff Chris Eaton of suspected drug activity. Upon arrival deputies made contact with Lola B. Bus boom, 29, and after receiving consent to search, deputies found chemicals used in the making of methamphetamine inside the residence along with marijuana seeds, according to a release by the BCSO.
Busboom was arrested and charged with complicity to manufacturing meth, first offense; unlawful possession of meth precursor, first offense; possession of drug paraphernalia, first offense; and possession of marijuana.
Busboom remains in the Barren County Correctional Center on a $25,000 cash bond.
Also assisting in the case was the Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement Special Investigations unit.
Glasgow man in custody
A Glasgow man was arrested on drug charges Saturday, according to Glasgow police.
David A. McGlynn, 22, of 506 N. Race St. Apt. A, was found at the residence after police responded. The K-9 unit was deployed and alerted on several areas. When police conducted their search, they found a small clear bag with suspected methamphetamine, as well as a burnt piece of foil with suspected drug residue.
McGlynn is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
