FRANKFORT — Steve Nunn, who faces murder charges in the death of his former fiancée, has been transferred from the Hart County Jail where he has been held since Monday.
“He’s no longer here,” said a Hart County deputy jailer who answered the phone at the jail at about 7:30 p.m. CDT Thursday. She said Nunn was transferred “sometime today” but she would not say where. She would not provide her name.
Nunn has been in custody since last Friday following the shooting death in Lexington of his former fiancée, 29-year-old Amanda Ross. On Monday, Fayette County authorities charged Nunn with murder.
Glasgow Daily Times reporter Lisa Simpson Strange reported that Hart County Jailer Keith Riordan said Nunn was picked up by Fayette County officials Thursday around 4:30 p.m. CDT.
