12:34 AFTERNOON UPDATE: Temple Hill clear of bomb threat

GLASGOW — Temple Hill Elementary is clear of any threat, according to a 12:25 update posted on the Barren County school district's website and social media pages. The school was evacuated after a bomb threat was called in, but students were returning to the building around 12:30.

All updates posted to the district webpage are included below.

(12:25pm 1-30-13) UPDATE – As of this hour Temple Hill students are returning to the school.  The building has been thoroughly searched and nothing of suspicious nature was found.  We anticipate a normal release at the regularly scheduled time.  All afterschool activities will go on as scheduled. No other Barren County schools were affected by this threat.

(10:38am 1-30-13) UPDATE – A non-specific threat was called into a local business at Temple Hill.   The caller referenced “the school”, as a result the 911 center has contacted all of our schools.  At present only Temple Hill is under evacuation.  We are coordinating with school officials and local authorities at all sites.  We will update our web page and social media sites as new and pertinent information becomes available.  At this time all students are safe and accounted for.

(10:20am: 1-30-13) - Temple Hill Elementary is currently being evacuated to Temple Hill Baptist Church as a result of a bomb threat.  This appears to be another unsubstantiated threat, but again, student safety is first and foremost.   We anticipate students returning to the school as soon as law enforcement officials have cleared the building.
