GLASGOW — With unemployment dropping and new industrial investments coming along,Glasgow’s economic outlook is on the rise, Mayor Rhonda Riherd Trautman said.
She makes several points in her “State of the City” report to back up her assessment.
A version of the report was on the agenda to be delivered at the Glasgow-Barren County Chamber of Commerce’s quarterly breakfast last Friday, but Mother Nature interrupted that plan with icy weather. The breakfast is rescheduled for Feb. 13, but anyone wanting a preview of the mayor’s report can see it on the city’s website, along with the PowerPoint presentation that will accompany it at the
chamber event, under the “Mayor’s Office” link in the left column of the page.
State law requires that she provide such a report annually, and she planned to put it online after the presentation anyway.
