GLASGOW —  

Frank Thomas Hill

TOMPKINSVILLE – Frank Thomas Hill, 76, of Tompkinsville, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Monroe Health & Rehab in Tompkinsville.

He was the son of the late Smiley Lee Hill and Eva White Hill.

Graveside service will be conducted Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at 1 p.m., at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tompkinsville, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville is in charge of the arrangements.



Joyce Murray

MUNFORDVILLE – Joyce Murray, 77, of Munfordville, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.

She was born in Hammonsville on Sept.12, 1935, to the late Chester Watkins and Nina Caswell Watkins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Ray Murray.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home, with Brother Ronald Riordan officiating. Burial will be in Timberlake Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and will continue after 8 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.



Janice Elizabeth Smith Rhea-Rea

GLASGOW – Janice Elizabeth Smith Rhea-Rea, 65, of Glasgow, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at her residence.

She was born Oct. 18, 1947, in Barren County. She was the daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson Smith Sr. and Maymie Katherine Dooley Smith. She was attending First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Rea; three daughters, Susan Elizabeth Blanton and her husband Ron, Marla Katherine Edgar and her husband Rob and Andrea Danielle Rhea, all of Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Chad Blanton, Jacob Blanton, Patrick Blanton, Andrew Edgar, Amber Edgar, Aiden Rhea and Asijah Rhea; one stepson, Chris Rea and his wife Karen; two step-grandchildren, Rachel and Ryan Rea; three brothers, Jimmy Lee Smith and his wife Vickie, Woodrow Smith Jr. and Terrell Smith and his wife Michelle; three sisters, Loretta Wood and her husband Russell, Virginia Kingrey and Shirley Henry and her husband Herman; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews survive.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Clifton Smith, Marshall Smith and Michael Smith.

The family has chosen cremation. There will be a memorial service Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013. The family may be contacted for more information. Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

RICHMOND, Ind. – Floyd R. Farmer, 78, of Richmond, died Sunday, Feb.10, 2013, at Reid Hospital after a brief illness. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by the Wayne County Honor Guard.



SUMMER SHADE – Barry Lynn Hodges, 45, of Summer Shade, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at Norton Hospital in Louisville.  Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Goodson Chapel Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. at the church on Wednesday until time for the funeral. McMurtrey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to Kosair Hospital or Summer Shade Fire Department.



GLASGOW – Gary Duane Kunce, 67, of Glasgow, died Sunday, Feb.10, 2013. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Beech Grove Cemetery.



SMITHS GROVE – Jackie Lee Pearson, 58, of Smiths Grove, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. Funeral services will be noon Wednesday at Icy Sink Baptist Church with burial in Stoney Point Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon at the church. Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.



KNOB LICK – Roger Lynn Williamson, 68, of Knob Lick, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton, with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
