GLASGOW —
Emergency responders were called to the scene of a four-vehicle accident on West Front Street at 11:41 a.m. Tuesday, and the following information has been provided through a Glasgow Police Department statement:
Della R. Jones, 73, of Glasgow stated she had stopped at the stop sign at Ford Drive and West Front Street, looked both ways and then proceeded to move forward into the intersection. At that time, her vehicle struck the left side of a pickup truck headed east on Front Street, driven by 46-year-old John W. Burness, also of Glasgow. Upon impact, the Burness vehicle slid into the opposite lane of travel, striking a third automobile driven by Gary P. Payne, 32, of Glasgow.
