GLASGOW —
Items that have been designated as surplus by the city of Glasgow will be auctioned beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday.
A 1997 GMC Extended Cab truck and a 1996 GMC truck head the list, which also includes three tractors, two garden tractors and push mower.
A 2001 Heritage Softail Harley-Davidson motorcycle is being offered as an auctioneer’s consignment, as well.
Among the other miscellaneous items are three copiers, amplifiers, a Motorola base station power supply, sets of tire chains, tool boxes, a coffee pot, a vegetable slicer, a piece of stove pipe, 16x16-inch air filters and an 8,000 BTU and a 24,000 BTU air conditioner.
Cash or “good checks with ID” will be accepted.
The auction will be at the Glasgow Recreation Department at 309 S. Liberty St.

Layne Goodman (left), Jolea Minix and Yatza Palacios socialize puppies at the Barren River Animal Welfare Association's third annual Camp BRAWA for kids. The camp provides the kids with education about responsible pet ownership and brings awareness to the services BRAWA offers. This was the largest summer camp yet with more than 25 kids particpating this year. All the money collected for the kids' participation in the summer camp goes back to the shelter to provide for the animals and other community educational programs.
