GLASGOW — A Wednesday morning accident on Scottsville Road involving four cars sent two to the hospital.
According to a Kentucky State Police report, Qaddura Hasan Emad Ali, 19, of San Jose, Calif., was traveling northbound in his 1990 Honda when he swerved into the southbound lane and struck vehicles driven by Robert Hagan, 82, Mike Polson, 51, and Kattie McMurtrey, 55, all of Glasgow.
Hagan and a passenger, Marry Hagan, 86, of Glasgow were taken to T.J. Samson Community Hospital, where they were treated and released. Both were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
Ali was lodged in the Barren County Jail and charged with driving under the influence, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and no insurance.
KSP Trooper Lonnie Hodges was the investigating officer at the scene. He was assisted by Barren-Metcalfe EMS and the Haywood Volunteer Fire Department.
