Indiana man killed in tractor-trailer wreck

GLASGOW — An Indiana man was killed late Wednesday evening following a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 65 in Hart County.

According to the Kentucky State Police, a 1999 Kenworth tractor-trailer driven by Gene R. Tracy Jr., 41, of Paoli, Ind., was southbound on I-65.

The vehicle entered the median and traveled more than 1,100 feet before hitting a concrete bridge support at the 63-mile marker, a press release stated.

Tracy was pronounced dead at the scene by Hart County Coroner Jeff Roten. KSP Trooper Jonathan McChesney continues to investigate the accident.

McChesney was assisted by troopers Lonnie Hodges and Lanny Jewell, Munfordville Fire Department, Munfordville Police Department, Hart County EMS and the Hart County State Highway Department.
