GLASGOW — Police are investigating the apparent Sunday stabbing death of a Tompkinsville man.

Randall E. Page, 76, was found dead in his Crawford Street home Sunday afternoon, according to the Kentucky State Police.

At 1 p.m., the Tompkinsville Police Department received a call about a possible death on Crawford Street. Once Page’s body was discovered, the state police were notified and responded to the scene.

Monroe County Coroner Jackie Walden pronounced Page dead at 1:30 p.m.

Detective George Atwood said Page appeared to have died from a stabbing.

KSP Trooper Dwaine Barnett, public affairs officer for Post 15 in Columbia, said there was a stab wound in the victim’s chest area.

Barnett said there was no indication of a robbery at this time. An autopsy was scheduled for this morning in Louisville to determine the exact cause of death.

Anyone with information is asked to contact KSP’s Columbia post at (270) 384-4796 or the Tompkinsville police department.
