Vehicles collide on U.S. 31E
GLASGOW — Emergency units responded to a two-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon on U.S. 31E (Scottsville Road).
Jesse Mascoe, 18, of Tobacco Road, was traveling southbound when he lost control of his 2001 Chevrolet Impala and struck a 1997 Dodge Ram truck driven by Joshua Kingery, 25, of Coop Road, according to the Barren County Sheriff’s Department.
Mascoe went off the right side of the roadway and struck a guardrail before coming back across the road as he was traveling sideways. He veered into Kingery’s northbound pathway before the two collided.
Neither subject was transported from the scene by ambulance for treatment, according to law enforcement.
Deputy Kevin Wilson investigated and was assisted by Deputy Matt Mutter, special deputy Shannon White, the Barren-Metcalfe County EMS and the Haywood Volunteer Fire Department.
