GLASGOW — Authorities are looking into widespread vandalism that occurred around the county in the early morning hours Tuesday.
An estimated 20 to 25 mailboxes were found torn down on Lecta Kino, Hollis-Thomas, Hollow and Spencer roads, according to the Barren County Sheriff’s Department.
Additionally, a school bus was found at Eastern Elementary School with all its windows smashed, authorities said.
A cruiser belonging to the Barren-Edmonson County Drug Task Force also had its windows knocked out and a beauty shop sign was destroyed.
The incidents were estimated to have occurred Tuesday between 1 and 3 a.m., sheriff’s officials said.
Authorities have persons of interest, but anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s department at (270) 651-2771 or the hot line at (270) 646-8771.
A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the vandalism.
