GLASGOW — A Knob Lick woman was killed in Hiseville Saturday night after her vehicle struck a tree head-on.
Colleen Jones, 50, was heading east on Ky. 70 when her 2006 Nissan Altima went off the north side of the road on a curve, traveled up an embankment and hit a large tree in the ditch line head-on, according to the Barren County Sheriff’s Department.
Information gathered from the accident appears to indicate that Jones had fallen asleep while driving home from a long trip. No alcohol was involved and the victim was wearing her seat belt at the time of the accident.
Deputy Greg Kinslow was the investigating officer.
