PARK CITY — A Park City woman died Tuesday from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash June 22 on Park City-Bon Ayr Road.
Lillian P. Peden, 85, died at UofL Hospital, according to the Kentucky State Police.
Peden was driving a 1984 Chevrolet Caprice. Leaving the parking lot of Bon Ayr United Methodist Church, she pulled into the path of a 2007 Ford 500 driven by Patricia Vincent, 49, of Glasgow, police said.
The Ford struck the Caprice in the driver’s side. Peden was not wearing a seat belt. Vincent, who had been wearing a seat belt, was transported from the scene for non-life threatening injuries.
KSP Trooper Jeremy Smith investigated and was assisted by the Park City Fire Department and the Barren-Metcalfe County EMS.
A Tennessee man was injured late Tuesday night when the tractor-trailer he was driving was struck by another tractor-trailer. Terry Crit-chlow, 50, of Dyersburg, was attempting to merge onto Interstate 65 southbound from the Louie B. Nunn Parkway when he failed to negotiate the curve of the ramp due to excessive speed, according to KSP.
Critchlow lost control of his truck and the load he was carrying shifted, causing his truck to overturn.
Moses Wolfe, 65, of Amarillo, Texas, was traveling southbound on I-65 in a 1999 Mack Truck and struck Critchlow’s trailer.
Critchlow was airlifted to The Medical Center at Bowling Green and was listed in stable condition. Wolfe was not injured.
