HORSE CAVE — MEETING: Horse Cave City Council

DATE: July 14, 2007

ACTION: Council members authorized Mayor Odell Martin to take bids on the repairing sidewalks within the city, except for Main Street. It is estimated there are 7,000 running feet of sidewalks in the city. They also asked the mayor and city attorney to write a letter to the owner of a building on East Main Street that had collapsed during a recent rain storm to finish demolishing the building before the city’s Heritage Festival, which is scheduled for Sept. 19-20.

DISCUSSION: Council members discussed constructing a new firehouse and city hall building.
