GLASGOW — Fifteen-year-old Jonathon Ballard is a student at Barren County High School.
His favorite subject is math.
When he’s not in school, he can be found riding his skateboard.
Ballard can do several tricks on his skateboard, including a kick flip.
“It’s a little flippy trick on a skateboard,” he said. “I don’t know how to describe it.”
Learning how to do tricks can be treacherous and Ballard admits he has been injured while riding his skateboard.
“I messed up some ligaments in my knee,” he said.
The injury kept him from skateboarding for about a month.
Ballard is the oldest of four children. His siblings are, Kelsey, 14; Alex, 10; and Daniel, 3.
When he graduates high school, Ballard hopes to become a tow truck driver.
“That’s what my dad does,” he said, adding he think it will be a fun job.
