Cave City man arrested by DTF

GLASGOW — John K. Hood, 55, of 690 Herbert Turner Road in Cave City, was arrested on Monday after detectives with the Barren-Edmonson County Drug Task Force received a complaint of possible drug activity.

Detectives allegedly found meth, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and several firearms in the residence.

Hood was charged with possession of a controlled substance, first; possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. All the charges were enhanced due to the presence of firearms.

Hood was lodged in the Barren County Correctional Center.

The drug task force was assisted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and Barren County Deputy Bobby McCown.
