Police probe ID of bank robber

GLASGOW — Detectives are continuing to investigate a bank robbery at the South Central Bank branch on U.S. 31E south of Glasgow that happened shortly before 9:20 a.m. Tuesday.

Glasgow Police Department’s Public Information Officer, Capt. Kent Keen, said there have been no major updates in the case.

“The detectives are looking through the surveillance tape and trying to get a good picture of the guy,” Keen said. “They have to look through and find a good picture of him, then computer enhance it to make it usable.”

A white male, described as having a medium build and being in his early to mid-20s, entered the bank and gave a teller a note demanding money.

Police described the man as being about 5’10”, possibly with red hair and freckles. He was reportedly wearing a button-down shirt with a T-shirt underneath. No other description of the man or a vehicle are available.
