GLASGOW — Barren County Fiscal Court has set the 2008 property tax rates, which remain the same as last year.

The millage will be 13.5 cents per $100 per assessed value on real estate, 13.5 cents per $100 assessed value on public service companies, 15.3 cents per $100 on tangible personal property and 15.3 cents per $100 on aircraft and watercraft.

The tax rates passed Tuesday night on a 7-0 vote. Magistrate Charles Allen was not present.
