GLASGOW — A Glasgow man was arrested Wednesday on drug charges after officers found him smoking marijuana while walking on North Lewis Street.
Stevie L. York, 37, of East Front Street, was charged with possession of marijuana, public intoxication (controlled substance) and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the Glasgow Police Department.
Police said they were out attempting to serve a warrant when they saw York on North Lewis Street. As they got closer, they said they could smell a strong odor of marijuana.
When officers asked who was smoking, York opened his hand and revealed a half-smoked marijuana cigarette.
A search warrant was obtained for the subject’s residence, where officers said they discovered several marijuana roaches, a small bag of marijuana, rolling papers and a set of scales.
GPD Officer Mike Houchens investigated and was assisted by Sgt. Jason Morgan and Capt. James Duff.
