Burglars strike business

CAVE CITY — The Cave City Chevrolet dealership on 302 Happy Valley Road was broken into late Thursday or early Friday.

According to police, burglars entered the building by knocking out a window on an overhead door at the back of the dealership.

The burglars loaded a vehicle that was in the garage for repairs with approximately $80,000 worth of automotive tools and equipment, including General Motors specialty tools and about 20 Interstate vehicle batteries.

The burglars fled in the stolen vehicle, driving through a chain link gate.

The vehicle was recovered about three miles away on Vaughn Road. The tools and batteries were not recovered.

Major Mike Gibbons investigated and was assisted by Barren County Detective Rusty Anderson.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Cave City Police at 773-2441.
