ACTION: School board members approved: minutes of their Sept. 11 meeting, the treasurer’s report, monthly fund reports, bus inspections, lunchroom accounts, field trip requests, fundraiser requests, orders of the treasurer; purchase of a bus at a cost of about $85,000 from the general fund; and approved a $12,000 expenditure to install a new public address system for Caverna High School.
PRESENTATIONS: A Community Service Award was given to Carlos Gonzalez for earning his GED.
SUPERINTENDENT REPORT: Dr. Sam Dick reported that striping of parking lots at the high school and middle school were complete. He also reported the Kentucky School Board Association’s district meeting will be at the Allen County Intermediate Center on Nov. 6 at 5:30 p.m., and that the gym at the high school had been refinished.
