The Barren River Lake State Resort Park will hold its Spookout Weekend Friday through Sunday.
“There will be a costume contest for all ages and pets too,” said Tammy Turner, guest services supervisor for the park. “There will be a pumpkin contest, a pumpkin roll, campsite decorating contest and trick-or-treating throughout the day on Saturday.”
There will also be a scarecrow contest at the campsite, a night hike on Friday night and scary stories with John Tierney on Saturday night.
